Dudley Atkinson, M.D.
Meet Dr. Dudley Atkinson
Dr. Atkinson’s earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and served an internship in General Surgery along with a residency in Urology at Louisiana State University’s Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. Later, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree with accounting specialization from Louisiana State in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dr. Atkinson also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State in Baton Rouge, and two Master of Science degrees: in Physics and in Engineering Science (Astronautics) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
He served 20 years in the U.S. Military service, retiring as Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy in 2005.
Dr. Atkinson’s medical experience includes serving as Urology Department Head and Chief of Surgery at Ochsner Clinic in Baton Rouge. He also has worked as a urologist for Optum Health in Colorado Springs, and as a urology hospitalist at Sandford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Dr. Atkinson earned extensive awards during his 20 years in the U.S. Military, including two Navy Commendation Medals, four Navy Achievement Medals, a Naval Expeditionary Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Dr. Atkinson has authored a chapter about Peyronie’s Disease in the Textbook of Urologic Reconstructive Surgery.
He is a member of the American Urological Association, board certified in urology, and licensed to practice in Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, and North Dakota. He is certified as an aviation medical examiner by the FAA.
